Before you higher an apartment whether luxury apartments or ordinary, you may like to inspect it to know what you are going to get and whether the facilities available in the apartment are worth the cost you pay. If you find that some part of the property is damaged, you should immediately prepare a list in writing and get the same signed by the property owner or manager. In case they promise some repair, then also there should be some written documents to prove it at a later stage signed by both of you.
Apartment rentals seem to be an easy task but in reality it is not. You have to carefully choose several aspects like the cost, the facilities available, the location, the neighborhood and above all the true physical condition of the apartment you are hiring. It may be a case that while the apartment looks exotic in view, some of essential accessories in the building like water supply, sanitation system and electrical installations are defective. This will get you in trouble in future and it is prudent to take a stock of all these aspects before you move in.
Even if it is a short term rental, these aspects cannot be overlooked. Similarly, you must see whether the kitchen appliances provided, especially the Gas Stove and heater are working properly. Similar inspections should be made about the air conditioners and foul odors in the closets so as to make the hiring of vacation apartments really purposeful.
