I Found The Used Bladecenter
The used bladecenter server that my boss purchased for a good price seems to be keeping up with all the demands of this office. I was the one to draw the price of the used bladecenter to his attention but he was the one with the cash to buy it.
The pseries servers that were installed many years ago had to be fixed every other week so when he mentioned that if he could find one server to replace the two, that he would do it. I had been searching for one ever since and finally found one through a friend. My friend had found out about a computer store that sold refurbished used bladecenter servers for really good prices.
He gave me their name and their website address so I could check it out myself. It looked to me as though they might even give us cash back if we let them take the pseries servers that we were getting rid of anyway.
The deal was a win-win situation. We got the used bladecenter server for a great price, and the computer store got the old pseries servers to refurbish and resell. Not to mention the cash back that he got and I do not know how much that was. I am hoping for a big bonus at Christmastime because of how I helped him out.
