I was told about an energy tax credit from my brother that you can get if you have vinyl windows installed into your home. I thought that maybe he was wrong but I called a friend of mine who had heard the same thing from her boss.

So, I figured that this would be a good time to see how much it would cost to get new vinyl windows. Our old windows were very ugly and you could not even open some of them since my painter had painted them shut. I checked out the information about the energy tax credit and had two estimates done all in the same day.

I hired one of the companies and he explained that they would call when the vinyl windows came in to schedule installation. About two weeks went by and then they called and set up installation for the next day. As they took out the old windows, I was so happy.

Then to see the transformation of the house with the new vinyl windows was amazing. I think my neighbors enjoyed it also, since it makes the neighborhood look better. Now, there are about three more homeowners that need to learn about the energy tax credit. I know they would all be as happy about their vinyl windows, if they got them.
