I hired a local contractor to do some work around my house and he ended up subbing a lot of it out, which was fine but I just never knew who was supposed to be doing what. I think that the day the company that was supposed to some cement cleaning showed up, the roofers also came. Since the roofers were making a mess of the cement, the other contractor had to come back a different day.

Then, the day when the sub contractor who was to be deck staining, the company came to put in the new sprinkler system. There was no way that the deck could get wet or walked on and the sprinkler guys were doing both. I was happy with the deck staining once it was finished, but felt bad that they had to make two trips to get it completed.

If the big contractor who was in charge of everything, would have thought everything out and informed all the other little sub contractors of the days that the work was to be completed, then they would have been able to plan a little better and not have to make two trips to get the deck staining and cement cleaning done.
