Google Vs Yahoo : A Search Engine War
Search engines are used to search any website over the internet. There are different search engines over the internet for searching any website but the most famous and big titans are Google and Yahoo. These two search engines are basically the distribution channel of information over the internet. Google and Yahoo are basically the search engines which are doing work for the common goals and they are working in the same manner. The higher rank in these search engines is only possible through search engine optimization.
If we go through the history of these both search engines we will come to know that they both are sharing common roots as they were created by the students of Stafford University. Within a year Google and Yahoo hits more than a million over the internet world. Yahoo uses the techniques which involves a mixture of crawlers and indexing which results in ranking the web pages and websites on the search engines. One of the great facilities which a Yahoo gives to its webmasters is that they can buy a submission of human compiled directory of Yahoo in exchange of a fee.
This provides benefit to crawlers to give better projected ranking to websites. Google makes its way of success and popularity by the techniques it used for searching and ranking the website. This technique is termed as Page rank. However Google is unconvinced about the techniques which are used by many of the webmasters to gain high ranks and high traffic in the search engine.
In order to be aware from all these activities of webmasters Google keep its technique of Page rank extremely secret. Google has a full authority to separate each webpage on website according to quality and the links of that website. We cannot say which search engine is much better; it depends on the user who searches on it. Some find Google beneficial and some find Yahoo. They have searching easier and better for all of us.
