Obsessions Impulsions Ruminations

We decided to give our mom a birthday present, and that present would be a remodeled kitchen. The tricky part is that my dad must take my mom for a trip out of town for a couple of days, while the kitchen remodeling contractor does his magic. I stayed behind to “guard” the house. The truth is that I stayed to supervise the work. I’m very excited on what the kitchen will turn out to be. The contractor assured me that my mom would love our birthday present for her. He installed cabinets that have unique designs (chosen by my dad) to make our kitchen livelier.

My dad called and asked about the progress of the kitchen remodeling. I assured him that everything is going according to plan. After two days they returned home and my mom was ecstatic about her new kitchen. She was so happy that she was moved to tears. She really appreciated our birthday gift to her. We were rewarded with a lot of kisses and the promise of a delicious dinner afterwards. We congratulated ourselves for a job well done. Our birthday present was a success!
